申请和获取license

在德克萨斯州, the credential for the practice of school psychology is the Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP), which is granted by the Texas State Board of 考试iners of Psychologists (TSBEP).

资格

毕业后, students submit an application for the Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP) granted by the Texas State Board of 考试iners of Psychologists.

背景调查

Licensure applicants for the LSSP must pass a criminal background check as described on the TSBEP website.

Applicants who have a criminal conviction should inquiry with the TSBEP if the conviction would prohibit the granting of the LSSP. A Criminal History Evaluation Letter may be obtained.

考试

申请批准后, graduates become a LSSP Trainee and must pass the state jurisprudence exam within one year. Upon passing the jurisprudence exam, graduates become Licensed Specialists in School Psychology.

Graduates are also eligible to apply for the Nationally Certified School Psychologist credential and the Licensed Psychological Associate license.
